Amidst the vast expanse of the galaxy, Sun Jin Kaisara knew that long term open rebellion against the Systems Alliance would be an impossible feat. After all, she had been a former assassin for their organization herself and understood their strength firsthand. But as a Redken of the Nightfall Templar Tribe, she knew that there were powerful individuals that would be able to single handedly sway entire battles with magic and supernatural abilities.
Kaisara, with her expertise in subterfuge and deceit, saw a different way to fight the Systems Alliance: attacking from both the inside and outside. She contacted her fellow Nightfall Templar, suggesting they work together in a united effort.

In return, once the Systems Alliance was defeated and Kaisara's quest for revenge fulfilled, the entire might of the now-galactic Sun Jin Empire, lead by the Nightfall Templar would be directed towards taking down the Neverborn Templar.
This coordination begins in the Sun Jin Empire’s early foundation era (circa year 0032), when the rebellion is still small enough to be underestimated but already ambitious enough to require supernatural force multipliers.
Thus, the Via Nox Cabal was born - a council of carefully selected individuals who were entrusted with the truth of Nightfall Templar involvement and the supernatural forces at play in the war. Kaisara handpicked each member, ensuring their loyalty to keep this operation hidden from even the most formidable foes.
As such, the Cabal became the true leadership of the Sun Jin Empire, with Kaisara representing the Empire and Atomis Silverwolf representing the Nightfall Templar. Together they orchestrated a delicate balance between their two factions, using their combined strengths to wage a secret war against the Systems Alliance, with plans to then turn their combined power against the Neverborn.
From across the galaxy, it seemed impossible that a small rebellion could grow into a powerful Empire. They were often outnumbered in battles yet still managed to emerge victorious. What people didn't realize was the presence of Nightfall Templar on the ground, using their incredible magic abilities and unmatched strength to fight on a whole different level than the average Systems Alliance foot soldier. In space, it appeared implausible that such a small Empire could possess technology capable of striking against the Alliance. But they didn't know about specialized advanced Templar technology, provided by Atomis, in use.
