The Bethian are the primary feline-origin population of Bethany - a dense, high-population world that anchors the Sun Jin Empire as its capital planet. Within the Empire’s multi-species coalition, Bethians are the most populous and commonly encountered across military and security roles.

Bethians are the capital-planet majority on Bethany and form a visible demographic backbone of the Sun Jin Empire. While the Empire spans many species and subject populations, Bethians are the most widespread within its core institutions—especially the personnel layers that keep the state functioning day-to-day: garrison forces, security detachments, logistics, and administrative enforcement.
In-story, Bethians are most clearly established through their proximity to Sun Jin black-site infrastructure and living-weapon doctrine. They are frequently the faces behind the rifles: the “standard issue” guard presence around restricted facilities and on deployments where the Empire treats a subject as an asset to be transported, displayed, or field-tested.
Bethany is a megacity-planet and the Sun Jin capital world. It is enormous and densely populated—though still not on the same scale as Amber Krowe. In practical terms, this means Bethian culture shapes what the Empire considers “normal”: its public iconography, uniform aesthetics, civic language, and the social assumptions embedded in Sun Jin command culture.
Bethians are not synonymous with the Empire (Sun Jin is multi-species), but the Empire’s center of gravity—its capital bureaucracy and its default personnel base—remains Bethian-heavy.
Bethians appear repeatedly in the setting’s most coercive systems—not necessarily as the architects, but as the muscle and the institutional bloodstream that make Sun Jin control operational.

In Chapter 6-era framing, Bethians are the most common species seen around RD10-003 and its surrounding operational footprint, including guarding Forza during deployments as a controlled test subject.
