The Crash Site is a burned-out Sun Jin cargo freighter impact zone in Tier’s Kovar Region—a place where a salvage run becomes a blood-soaked ambush and the first direct collision between Forza Ninetails and Kiara Quall.

Overview

The Crash Site is not just wreckage in the forest—it is a narrative hinge. The freighter’s shattered hull, scattered debris field, and partially intact interior corridors create a maze of tight angles, failing lights, and concealed vantage points that turn the investigation into a close-quarters killing ground.

In rev3.1, the Crash Site is introduced and explored across BT - Chapter 1, BT - Chapter 2, and BT - Chapter 3, with the full incident captured as Crash Site Investigation.

Where It Is

The Crash Site lies within the forested sprawl of Tier’s Kovar Region —remote enough to delay casual discovery, but not remote enough to avoid rapid imperial response once the incident is detected. In practice, the location functions as a race: get in, retrieve anything valuable, and disappear before Sun Jin recovery forces lock the area down.

As a physical place, it combines an exterior debris field (charred sections, scattered hull plates, broken bulkheads) with a few survivable internal pockets—most importantly an underbelly cargo-hold section that becomes the focal point of the ambush.

What happened here (Chapters 1–3)

The Crash Site becomes active the moment Systems Alliance intelligence flags the downed Sun Jin freighter as an opportunity. Under Asuya’s cover on Tier, Forza leads a small, discreet insertion alongside Chambers and Rafaya, aiming to salvage ship-computer data before Sun Jin recovery arrives.

Inside the wreck, the geometry tightens. Corridors remain structurally sound but warped; emergency lighting is weak; sparks and small fires add intermittent visibility. Chambers pushes deeper first. Then gunfire. Then silence. When Forza and Rafaya reach the underbelly cargo hold, they find Chambers dead—proof that the crash is not merely an accident scene but a prepared trap.

Rafaya is killed moments later when the attacker drops from concealment. The assailant is revealed as Kiara Quall : armored, bloodied, and Templar-capable, moving with a combination of raw physical mastery and violet-energy manifestations that force Forza to draw closer to the abilities—and instincts—he has been suppressing on Tier.

The confrontation shifts from tactical to existential. Forza and Kiara recognize the same internal affliction, speak Jethro by name, and expose a shared reality: the “darkness” is not unique, not metaphorical, and not safely contained. By the time the encounter breaks, the interior is saturated with evidence—bodies, damage, blood—and Sun Jin recovery is imminent. Forza flees into the forest; Kiara remains behind for the arrival.

Why the Crash Site Matters

The Crash Site is where the story’s early threads lock together: covert Alliance operations under civilian cover, Sun Jin presence on Tier, and the Jethro/Bloodtiger trajectory. It is also where Forza’s attempt at normalcy is punctured by an external mirror—another infected Templar whose control (or lack of it) becomes a preview of what Forza could become.

Key figures tied to the location

This location is most strongly associated with:

Forza Ninetails, who enters the site under Asuya cover and leaves with the incident burned into the foundation of his arc; Kiara Quall, who turns the crash into a meeting/ambush and reveals the broader scope of the affliction; and the casualties Chambers and Rafaya, whose deaths define the emotional cost and tactical failure of the mission.
